I think the software I write should be as widely usable as possible. I don't mind if others make money off my software - especially when it makes it more widely used.

However, if someone makes money off my software, I expect something in return. The preferred compensation is simply that any derived works are also distributed freely, so as many people as possible can take advantage of the changes/additions, and build on it further. If this, for some reason, is not an option, I'm open to providing closed licenses for a fee - simply contact me.

One of the biggest problems in the Open world today is license proliferation. For the reasons explained above, I generally try to publish software under the GPLv2 and other content under the Creative Commons Sharealike licenses. However, if you'd like to have something under a different license, don't hesitate to ask!!
