Flight planning
From Arnout Engelen
Flight planning, at least in the Netherlands, is ridiculously cumbersome.
Searching for flights requires the desired departure and arrival airports and dates to be set specifically.
A front-end that fires off multiple queries ('from Holland (or Duesseldorf) to Spain or Greece, departure and arrival in these ranges') would be much more convenient.
Many travel agencies appear to use a service hosted under affair.nu (at Vuurwerk internet services), which looks like it's provided by AirTrade. I wonder:
- if they'd mind if I added a front-end to their service. They probably make money off the bookings (?), so if I redirect users to them to make any bookings I'd say this should be no problem.
- if they provide a more convenient interface for programming, like a SOAP service
